There’s lots to stroll though and see this weekend-do you feel like looking at crafts, or cars, or flowers? Or, plan carefully and check out all 3! And since it is a weekend for remembering, both the little ones and the grownups have a chance to revisit history on Saturday.
 
Elk Rapids Arts & Crafts Show
River Street, Elk Rapids, Saturday May 23, 9-4
Stroll down River Street in Elk Rapids for the first Craft Show of the summer season. Crafters from all over Michigan will have work on display and for sale, plus there's great food, street performers, and more!
 
Northport Car Show
Saturday, May 23, 9-4
Take a scenic drive on M22 to Northport, the home of Leelanau County’s longest running auto show. An eclectic mix of models including pre-war and modern, stock and modified, foreign and domestic.will be on display at Haserot Park, with awards for the “Top Ten” entries, Best Muscle Car, Best Street Rod, Best Sports Car, Best Restored Antique, People’s Choice and Founder’s Award. Orchids By the Bay
5-23 & 24-Saturday, Noon-5:30; Sunday, 11-4.  
The Northwestern Michigan Orchid Society’s Orchids By The Bay Show will feature many orchids in bloom, artistic displays and educational exhibits, as well as orchids available for purchase.  There is no admission fee, however, donations for the educational non-profit will be taken at the door. Step Back In Time at Sleeping Bear Dunes
Saturday, May 23, 10-4
Visit a historic Great Lakes village and Life-saving station during Glen Haven Days. Park rangers have planned a day of hands-on activities to bring our area’s early 1900’s maritime and logging history to life.  Activities are free with regular park admission.
 
WW2 Gala Evening at the Park Place Hotel
Saturday, May 23, Cocktails 6pm, Dinner at 7:30
The Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum invites you to attend a Gala celebrating the role that the Traverse City Area Played in the training of pilots during WWII.
