From a Girls Weekend, to Halloween fun, there’s something for everyone!

This weekend you can meet with your girlfriends on Mackinac Island, or enjoy a stroll with wine and art in Suttons Bay. There’s a couple of choices for Halloween fun on Saturday night, and a chance to wrap up your weekend with a good time for a great cause in Traverse City!
Women’s Wellness and a Wee Bit O’Wine Weekend
Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st, Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Island
This event gives women a chance to celebrate friendships, health, shopping and of course, a little wine. Join on Mackinac Island for wellness seminars, renowned speakers, yoga classes, spa treatments, great food, fabulous shopping and so much more. Proceeds benefit the Mackinac Island Cancer Fund. 11th annual Fall Finale Art and Wine Walk
Friday, 5-8pm, Downtown Suttons Bay

Haunted Lighthouse Weekend
Saturday and Sunday, October 21st and 22nd, Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Northport
Take a spooky tour through the main floor of the Grand Traverse Lighthouse keeper’s dwelling, dare to venture into the haunted basement, then climb into the tower for a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. For the kiddos, take the outside treasure hunt and play games and do activities. Take a walk to the Fog Signal Building, drive the ROV (remote operated vehicle) and learn about the Lake Michigan Aircraft Carriers. Come in costume. Candy, prizes and lots of fun for all. Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children 6-18.
Triple Fright Night at the Headlands Dark Sky Park
Saturday, October 21st, 6-10pm
Visitors are encouraged to participate in this year’s Egyptian theme, chosen because of the peak of the Orionid Meteor Shower the same night. Hike the candle lit path if you dare, to the shoreline where storytelling and other Halloween mischief awaits. In addition to the events at the Headlands, participants are invited to visit the “haunted” McGulpin Point Lighthouse, just a short distance from the Headlands International Dark Sky Park, and Heritage Village, across the street from the Headlands, for trick-or-treating.

Benefit for Puerto Rican Firefighters and EMTs at the Parlor
Sunday, October 22nd, 2-8pm
Come out to the Parlor in Traverse City for Live Music all day from acts like Soul Patch, Turbo Pup, Miriam Pico and more! Plus a special appearance from magician and mind reader Ben Whiting. There will also be a silent auction, fire trucks and ambulances on site, and great food and drink specials. All ages welcome.
