A recurring theme in my life is the struggle for a good night’s sleep. I have tried so many methods to not only get to sleep, but stay asleep. On top of that, I really have a hard time getting to bed at a decent time to get that good night’s sleep.
Daylight Savings time this week has definitely not helped the situation and no one wants to walk around like a zombie every day so what is the answer?
Well two sleep experts came up with a six step routine that takes about 30 minutes. They say that’s how long you need to relax and mentally prepare for bed.
Each of steps take about 5 minutes so 6×5= 30 minutes of your night for the perfect bedtime routine. So what are the steps?
- Make a to-do list for the next day
- Stop using all electronics
- Brush your teeth
- take a quick shower
- use the bathroom
- stop talking
