The Venetian Festival rolls into the weekend!

It’s a weekend full of Up North fun…. including some of the more spectacular fireworks at the Venetian Festival in Charlevoix. Throw in some shopping at Petoskey’s annual sidewalk sales, the Art Fair in Bay Harbor and the Simon and Garfunkle Tribute Show in Glen Arbor and it’s a great time for everyone. See you at the fireworks!
Venetian Festival Charlevoix thru July 28
Friday is food and carnival all day, music in the Tiki Tent and on the East Park stage…. And the fireworks at Ferry Beach.
Saturday is the 5/10K and family fun walk, the parade at 11, Bridge Street Block party from 12:30-7pm, Charlevoix All Class Reunion at the Weathervane from 12:30-3, music in the Tiki Tent, Motown with the Miracles on the East Park Stage, Boat parade at dusk on Round Lake followed by the fireworks.
 Petoskey Sidewalk Sales Friday and Saturday
Downtown merchants move their stores into the streets in a traditional old-fashioned sidewalk sales venue. As always, streets in Downtown Petoskey will be closed off to everything but foot traffic and sidewalk dining options in our fabulous restaurants are available. Come early to get the best bargains.

The Bay Harbor Art Fair
Bay Harbor Arts Festival, in its 19^th year, is back on the waterfront lawns, and better than ever! This year features a segment called the Artisan Green Market, in addition to the juried Fine Arts section of the event.
Children are encouraged to create their own artwork in the “Make & Take Tent” at no charge. Additionally, there will be live music from the Plumville Project Friday and Saturday from 12-3pm, and an appearance by the Michigan Stiltwalker to entertain kids on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm. Fun for the whole family!
 Benefit for Glen Lake Charities featuring Old Friends, A Simon and Garfunkle Tribute, Friday, July 27, 7pm, Settlers Picnic Grounds in Glen Lake
Recreating the 1981 reunion concert in Central Park. Nick, Jason & the band will perform at Old Settlers Picnic Grounds on the east side of Big Glen Lake in Glen Arbor. Concert is free but a free will offering will be taken to support Empire Area Food Pantry, Neighbors Helping Neighbors & Glen Lake Young Life.
Antique Fly Wheelers Engine, Tractor and Craft Show, July 26-29
Antique autos, tractors and farm equipment, craft show, movie after dark on Thursday, blacksmiths, antique filling station, saw mill and more. Great living history for the whole family. On US131 just north of Boyne City.
