It’s a weekend full of festival fun!

It a great time to head to the movies in Traverse City this week, or head to Harbor Days in Elk Rapids for some fun down by the water! They’re celebrating their Polish Heritage in Boyne Falls, and you can catch a glimpse of the orient on Lake Charlevoix with the first ever Dragonboat Festival! And if you’re looking for fun with Fido, head to Woofstock for a great time for a good cause!

Charlevoix Circle of the Arts Dragon Boat Festival, Saturday, August 4th, 8am,                    Ferry Beach, Charlevoix
The opening ceremonies begin with a practice known as “Awakening the Dragon” in which the Dragon’s eyes are dotted to symbolize the dragon coming to life. Races will be run in heats throughout the day. This event is free to watch. Get more info at charlevoixdragonfestival.org
 
 
5th Annual Woof-Stock Pet and Music Festival, Saturday, August 4th, 12-5pm,                     Mackinaw Trails Winery, Petoskey
Bring the whole family for this pet-friendly event! More than 10 bands will be performing on 2 different stages, plus there will be live and silent auctions, great food, beer and wine, horse drawn wagon rides, pet agility demonstrations, and the ever-popular Doxie Derby at 3pm. Admission is by donation.
