This weekend is full of holiday fun! Start off with a holiday tradition at the Old Town Playhouse. Then head to Northport for more old-time Christmas cheer. There’s hometown shopping and festive fun in Charlevoix and Suttons Bay, and on Sunday, you can shop in TC and warm up with hot cocoa!

Christmas at the Lighthouse, Saturday, December 1st, 3-6pm, Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Leelanau State Park, Northport
The lighthouse will be decorated in the old-fashioned holiday décor, You will be greeted by the lighthouse keeper and others in period costumes. Hear the 1899 pump organ and climb the tower for a magnificent view of Lake Michigan. Santa will be on hand. Be sure to visit Santa’s Workshop in the Fog Signal Building where the kids can decorate a cookie, visit the hot cocoa bar, make an ornament, and other fun crafts.
 
 
Holiday Merchant Open House, Saturday, December 1st, Downtown Charlevoix
Merchants will feature entertainment, samples, snacks, sales and more through the day. Catch a movie at the Charlevoix Cinema III, with admission just a canned good for the Charlevoix Food Pantry. Warm up sampling cocoa creations with the Hot Cocoa contest at area businesses from noon to 5, and much more. Get details at charlevoix.org
 
 
Holiday in the Village-Suttons Bay, December 1st and 2nd
Take part in cookie and craft making, holiday decorating and more! Santa arrives to light the community tree Saturday night at 5pm. Enjoy refreshments and caroling afterwards.
