Demi Lovato shares details of her near-fatal 2018 overdose in new docuseries “Dancing with the Devil”

Demi Lovato shares the details about her 2018 overdose in the new trailer for her docuseries Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, revealing that she suffered a heart attack and three strokes, leaving her close to death.

In the first trailer for Lovato‘s upcoming docuseries, Demi reveals that doctors feared that the singer, then 25, wouldn’t survive after she suffered three strokes and a heart attack during the ordeal. “I had crossed a line that I had never crossed before… I snapped,” Demi shares in the trailer. “My doctors said that I had five to 10 more minutes [to live].”

Lovato overdosed at her Hollywood Hills home on July 24, 2018; paramedics found her unconscious, and she was administered Narcan, a drug used in cases of opioid overdoses. Lovato was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she spent a month recuperating from the medical emergency.
