Eat fresh, Shop Local, and Get Active this weekend!

The new farmers market season starts in Petoskey this Friday, or if you don’t feel like cooking Friday night, swing by the Cross in the Woods. You can find unique shopping at Grand Traverse Commons on Saturday or take a walk with your pooch on the VASA trail. Then Sunday, wrap up the weekend with a family bike ride!
 
The Downtown Petoskey Farmers Market Opens This Weekend!!! Friday, May 21st, 8:30am to 1pm                            Enjoy local producers and the bounty of fresh items that they have to offer. Stop by and find everything that you would need for a wonderful meal, from organic meats to fresh fruits and vegetables, and even flowers to decorate the table! 
Drive Thru Swiss Steak Dinner at Cross In the Woods, Friday, May 21st, 4-6pm                                                                Pick up dinner for the family at only $10 each, and support the Cross in the Woods and area charities. 
Outdoor Craft and Vendor Show at the Village of Grand Traverse Commons, Saturday, May 22nd, 10am-3pm This socially distanced, outdoor show takes place Saturday on the Historic Front Lawn. More than 40 vendors will have their works on display and for sale.
Tails to Trails-a 4-Paw 5k, May 22nd and 23rd, 10am-12pm                                                                                                      Bring your dog for a 5k walk with other pet owners on the VASA pathway. This is a fun, non-timed event. New this year, add 50$ to your registration fee and receive a drawing of your pet by local artist Ted Pryde. Register here
Families on Bikes in the Woods at Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort, Sundays, Noon to 1pm                            Presented by NORTE, you’re invited to bring the family for a free weekly mountain bike group ride. The main trail is at Timber Ridge, but every 3rd Saturday of the month, the group will visit another trailhead. Visit elgruponorte.org/Sundays/ for more info.
