Festival fun and other fabulous finds!

It’s a 3-day weekend with lots to do…starting with the annual Mancelona Bass Festival! You’ll find fine art in Walloon Lake and Elk Rapids, and a unique array of items at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds. Then, honor the reason for the holiday with a parade and ceremony in Harbor Springs.
 
Mancelona Bass Festival, May 27th-31st                                                                                                                                                                                    There’s fishy fun for the whole family in Mancelona this weekend with the carnival, live entertainment, the grand parade on Saturday, a car show, craft market, cornhole tournament, chicken BBQ and more! Art Show, Walloon Village, May 29th and 30th, 10-5pm                                                                                                                  The Wet Paint on Walloon Art Show takes place at Village Green Park featuring both local and national award winning talented artists and makers. A silent auction will also take place throughout the event to benefit Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy.
 
Elk Rapids Art Show, Saturday, May 29th, 10-4pm, River Street                                                                                                River Street comes alive with color and creativity this Memorial Day Weekend…Come stroll and shop, as more than 70 different artisans display, sell, and demonstrate their work.
 
Barn Market at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds, May 28th, 4-8pm, May 29th, 9am-3pm                                        You can buy tickets for both days for $10 at thereddressertc.com, or pay $5 general admission on Saturday. You’ll find vintage furniture and clothing, architectural salvage, farm market treats, handmade items and more…plus there will be live music and food trucks to add to the fun!
 
Harbor Springs Memorial Day Breakfast and Parade, May 31st                                                                                                          Enjoy breakfast from 7-9am at the Legion Building on the corner of State & Third streets. The parade starts at 10am on Main Street & ends at the waterfront with a ceremony honoring those in the military who have died in the line of service.
