From a Wine Tour, to a Bridge Walk, there are lots of fun ways to wrap up your summer!

Celebrate the harvest all month long with a wine tour in Leelanau county. You can get great gardening tips on the farm in Traverse City Friday, or check out fast cars in Boyne City! There’s free live music in Cross Village on Saturday night, and on Monday, it’s the annual trek across the Mighty Mac!
 
Harvest Days on the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, September 1st through the 30th
Experience what it’s like to be a wine club member at more than 25 participating wineries and take advantage of exclusive benefits, premiere wine tastings, & product discounts. Each ticket is good for one visit to each winery, & each ticket holder will have access to all of the benefits offered throughout Sept. (Sun. through Fri.). Get tickets here.
 
Farm Field Day, Friday, September 3rd, the Historic Meyer Farm, Traverse City
Featuring several educational sessions to learn about conservation agriculture, tools & resources to assist your farm & garden & much more. Topics will include biochar production, pollinator health & habitat, enhancing soil health & others. Lunch will be included in the registration. Register: lsilver@gtcd.org.
 
Boyne City Kiwanis Labor Day Weekend Car Show, Friday and Saturday, September 3rd and 4th
Friday is Preview Night from 6-9pm, stroll down East Water Street to check out the cars, the main show takes place Saturday in Veteran’s Park from 8am to 4pm. Door Prizes will be awarded throughout the day, and the awards presentation begins at 3pm.  Click here for more info.
 
Live Music in Cross Village, Saturday, September 4th, 6:30pm
Come to Cross Village to enjoy a FREE performance by the Jelly Roll Blues Band! This show will take place outside, under the cross. Bring a blanket or lawnchair and enjoy a great evening!
 
Labor Day Mackinaw Bridge Walk, Monday, September 6th, 7am to Noon
You will be able to start on either side of the bridge but there will be no transportation provided. Walkers will be prohibited from bringing a number of items such as signs, banners, umbrellas, bikes or animals. You have the option of walking halfway and turning around or walking the full bridge, but if you don’t cross the midway point by 11:30 a.m., you’ll be told to turn around.
