Taylor Swift has officially released her re-recorded version of the 1989 song “Wildest Dreams.” She previously previewed the song in a teaser trailer for Spirit Untamed, a children’s movie whose soundtrack features contributions from Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold.
“Wildest Dreams” has been popping on TikTok lately as well, with fans using the song to soundtrack their clips using the service’s new “slow zoom” filter. Taylor posted on TikTok: “Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor’s Version pls #wildestdreamstaylorsversion #swifttok #slowzoom”. She also shared on Twitter: “Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version,” ending with several kissy-face emojis.
Swift released her first re-recorded album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), earlier this year. Her next re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version), will arrive in November and include new contributions from Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton, and Ed Sheeran. There are not currently details on 1989 (Taylor’s Version), despite the release of the new “Wildest Dreams.”
