Halloween treats for the fur kids

Halloween is on the way, and I thought maybe this week, I’d share with you a great recipe for a Halloween dog treat. My dogs love these. They are huge fans of peanut butter and pumpkin, so putting the two of them together is a winner with them. And, if you have dogs trick or treat at your house, you can use them as treats for them too!
Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup organic canned pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling
1/4 cup all natural peanut butter (no added sweeteners)
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter and salt until fully incorporated.
Shape dough into a large ball shape.
Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a 1/2-inch-thick roll.
Use pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to cut out pumpkin cookie shapes.
Gather remaining dough and re-roll, use pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies. Repeat until all dough is used up.
Bake cookie shapes in preheated oven 40 minutes.
Remove cookies from oven.
Cool cookies on a cookie rack until completely cool to touch.
To make them look fancier, use peanut butter and stick a little dog bone treat on each one.
