There are lots of ways to kick off the holiday season this weekend!

The holidays are just around the corner, and there are many ways to get in the spirit this weekend. Take the whole family forfun in Suttons Bay, or grab your girlfriends for a night of shopping Friday in Petoskey.  Great deals start early this Saturday in Boyne City, and Traverse City lights up your Saturday night with a fun parade downtown. Or, enjoy an evening of great beer, wine and food in Gaylord!
 
Suttons Bay Friends and Family Weekend, November 19th-21st
Storewide sales & specials will be offered throughout the village and vary by store. Stroll Christmas Tree Lane and visit over 50 decorated trees all decked out by a variety of community and school groups. Support extended local families with donations for Leelanau Christian Neighbors. Letters to Santa kits will also be available for the kids.
 
Ladies Opening Night in Downtown Petoskey, Friday, November 19th, 4-8pm
Ladies, it’s time to shop, sip, and stroll the streets for Ladies Opening Night. Scope out gifts for yourself and your loved ones while playing games, winning prizes, and snacking your way through Downtown Petoskey. Learn more at petoskeydowntown.com
 
Boyne City’s Earlier Than The Bird Holiday Shopping Event, Saturday, November 20th
The early bird gets the deals in Boyne City this Saturday. Come dressed in your pajamas to receive an Earlier Than The Bird mug & qualify for most retail specials. The fun will begin bright and early at 7 a.m. and last throughout the morning with some businesses extending their specials throughout the day.
 
Downtown Traverse City Light Parade, Saturday, November 20th, 6:30pm
Though the tree lighting event has been canceled due to Covid concerns, the Light Parade will still be held at 6:30 pm, with other festivities beginning at 5:30 pm. That includes handing out gift bags to the first 2,000 guests, Christmas caroling by the Sweet Adelines, and a visit from the National Cherry Queen.
 
10th Annual Michigan Craft Beer and Wine Festival, Saturday, November 20th, 6-10pm,                                              Treetops Convention Center, Gaylord
Taste an array of Michigan craft beer, cider & wine. And enjoy food stations from Treetops’ culinary team. $40 per person; includes 15 tasting tickets, access to the event, & souvenir glass/mug.
