From the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, to Fort Michilimackinac, Christmas is in the air!

This weekend you can experience a depression-era Christmas at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse. They  light the community Christmas Tree in Interlochen this Friday night, and Saturday morning, make sure you wake up early to grab some sweet treats on the Old Mission Peninsula! Castle Farms invites you to their holiday celebration on Saturday, then later that evening, head to Mackinaw City for a historic Christmas at the Fort!
 
A Lighthouse Christmas at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Northport, Friday 12-10 through Sunday 12-12
Step back into Christmas in the 1920s & 30s with a self guided tour of the lighthouse, and enjoy the wintry view from the top of the lookout!  Plus, outside will feature decorated trees, holiday cutouts and inflatables. Admission is $5 per adult, $2 for children 6-17, 5 and under get in FREE! Hours are 10am to 3pm daily. To learn more, click here.
 
 Light Up Interlochen, Friday, 12-10, 3-7pm, Toms Food Market
Presented by the Interlochen Area Chamber of Commerce & Friends of Interlochen Public Library. Featuring a 20-foot mega pixel tree with synchronized light & sound, pre-packaged treats, beer & grilled food tents, carriage rides, live reindeer & an appearance from Santa Claus.
 
Old Mission Women’s Club Christmas Cookie Sale and Raffle, Saturday, 12-11, 8am, Peninsula Twp. Hall
It’s the sale some people wait all year for….delicious cookies baked with love by the members of the Old Mission Women’s Club. Let these talented ladies do your holiday baking this year! The sale runs until the cookies sell out, which never takes long-so get there early!
  
Winter Wonderland at Castle Farms, Charlevoix, Saturday 12-11, 9am-4pm
Mrs. Claus will be reading stories throughout the day. Explore the magical wonderland in new locations, both outdoors & in the frozen Knight’s Castle. Enjoy holiday-themed games, crafts, & hot cocoa. And be sure to keep an eye out for Santa! Tickets are $5 for ages 2 and up and are available at the door.
 
A Colonial Christmas at Fort Michilimackinac, Saturday 12-11, 4pm-7pm, Mackinaw City
Storytellers recount the various traditions of historic residents, with a retelling of the first Christmas at Mackinac in 1679. Create crafts & play historic games on the Parade Ground. There will also be holiday snacks located throughout the fort. $11 adults, $7 ages 5-12, & free for 4 & under. Last admission is 6:30pm.
