It’s time to sample Ice Wine at Chateau Chantal this weekend…you can ski and warm up with hot soup at Shady Lane Cellars, have fun creating a cardboard sled to race in Fife Lake, or take a relaxing torch-lit snowshoe trek to benefit Camp Daggett. And if you would rather stay indoors, you can get in touch with your inner animal at a great show in Cheboygan!

4^th Annual Chateau Chantal Ice Wine Festival, Saturday, January 29^th, 11am-5pm
Sample various ice wines, dessert wines, & food pairings while enjoying outdoor fire pits with s’mores & winter activities. There will be an ice wine vineyard tour, ice wine production show & tour, & a chance to explore the Founder’s Trail – so bring your snowshoes!

Soup and Ski at Shady Lane Cellars, Saturdays and Sundays through February 27^th
Enjoy a trek through the vineyard, or link up with the Leelanau Trail for an extended journey. Afterwards, head to the Tasting Room to enjoy locally made soups for $5 a bowl & Shady Lane Cellars wine.

8^th Annual Carly’s Hill Cardboard Classic Snow Fun Day, Saturday, January 29^th, 11am-3pm, Springfield Park & Recreation Area, Fife Lake
Free family fun, make & bring a cardboard sled. Prizes awarded, a warming building, hot drinks, lunch available, bonfire, toddler sledding hill, safety games, helmet fittings & more. Registration of sleds from 11am to noon, Distance runs at 1pm. Call 231-384-0406 for more info.

Bearcub Outfitters Torchlight Snowshoe, Saturday, January 29^th, 5-9pm, Camp Daggett, Petoskey
This is a free event but donations are encouraged. Rent snowshoes if you don’t have your own, and enjoy a walk along the torch lit trails at Camp Daggett, then warm up with a bonfire, cookies and hot cocoa! Pre register here.

Winter at the Zoo, Saturday, January 29^th, 7:30pm, The Opera House, Cheboygan
