Music, Snow and Food… it’s a good weekend!

Love food? Music? Camping? Then there is something for you this weekend.  From an outdoor festival to an upscale wine dinner, local musicians including the Accidentals and an RV show, you’ll find lots to do all over Northern Michigan.
Snow and Suds, March 5, 1-6 at Timber Ridge Resort
The 15th Annual Suds & Snow is back for an afternoon filled with beer, wine & cider. There will also be a wide selection of eats from local restaurants & food trucks, and tons of winter fun. The perfect winter combination! The event is for guests 21+. The annual themed Suds & Snow event includes a 1/2 mile hike through the backwoods of Timber Ridge Resort where thre are two live-music stages featuring local musicians, 20 + craft vendors serving beer, wine, & cider, and local food trucks. Sean Miller at Short’s Brewery, Friday, March 4, 8-10:30
Kick off the weekend with Sean Miller live for his return to Short’s Brewing Co.’s brew pub in Bellaire. Sean Miller is a Petoskey singer-songwriter whose debut album “Everywhere I Roam” got local and national praise. Local Spins and the Northern Express deemed it an album “begged to be performed live” and a “latest and greatest spin.”

In 2020, Miller spent much of his time performing in virtual festivals such as Wheatland, Earthworks Harvest Gathering and the Water is Life Festival and is thrilled to be getting back to in-person performances.
Most recently he was a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest and had the opportunity to perform his song “Dime a Dozen” in Red Lodge, Montana.

Your tasting journey begins at the Inn at Black Star Farms with a sparkling wine toast and a featured white wine while learning about the history of our unique Traverse Wine Coast region. Next, your journey continues to our wine cave, where you will enjoy some of our signature red wines while getting behind the scenes of the winemaking and aging process. Finally, your journey will culminate in our VIP Barrel Room while indulging in some decadent dessert wines.
