Festival season kicks off in Kalkaska this weekend with the National Trout Festival. You can enjoy great dining deals in Gaylord, and a local movie at the Homestead. Water, Sand and Sky film premiere at the Homestead, Friday, April 22nd, starting at 6pm
The kid friendly, family showing will begin at 6pm & conclude with a sunset hike to the top of Bay Mountain overlooking the Sleeping Bear Lakeshore, where yard games will be available. The Main showing will begin at 9pm following the sunset hike. Free reservations can be made at mynorthtickets.com to reserve a spot.
 
TC Trail Running Festival, April 22nd & 23rd, Timber Ridge Resort
The festival begins with a two-person 10K relay and 5K on Friday evening, with the 10K, 25K, 50K and 100K individual races getting underway on Saturday morning. After your run, hang around for the post-race festivities including food trucks, music, lawn games and fire pits. Register here.
