Wine, art & shopping, fun for the kids and a chili cook-off!

This month is a great time to sample the Red Wines of Leelanau County….or stroll through downtown Suttons Bay this Friday night sipping local beverages with a side of art! It’s your last chance to grab end-of-season deals in Leland, or take the kids for tricks, treats, and other fun at the Grass River Natural Area! Then on Sunday, enjoy a chili cookoff at the library in TC!
 
The Hunt for the Reds of October, Weekdays through October 31^st
Tickets are $35 per person, and that gets you a souvenir glass, and a 3 oz pour of red wine at all 21 participating Leelanau Peninsula Trail wineries. Take a self guided tour on your own time and schedule, Monday through Friday! Get tickets here.
 
Suttons Bay Fall Artisan & Wine Walk, Friday, October 21^st, 5pm-8pm, Downtown Suttons Bay
Suttons Bay merchants will present the work of area artists and will be pouring tastings of local wine and cider. Watch artisans at work, the Lord of the Gourd carving pumpkins, enjoy live music in two locations downtown and more!
 
Leland’s Fall Frenzy! Saturday October 22^nd and Sunday October 23^rd
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend for a trip down M-22! Watch the salmon jumping the dam in downtown Leland, and catch great end-of-season deals! It will be your last chance this year to shop at a few of Fishtown’s businesses as they will close for the season after this weekend.

Traverse Area District Library Annual Chili Cook Off, Sunday, October 23^rd, 1-3pm
Taste the chili entries in the annual Chili Cook-Off, & then vote for your favorites. Judging will be done by the public & Traverse City Fire Fighters to select the Judge’s Choice & People’s Choice winners.
