So many ways to get out and enjoy the snow!

Start your weekend early in Petoskey on Thursday with a good time for a great cause…then take a candle-lit hike Friday night at Mt McSauba! You can taste Ice Wine and enjoy more winter fun on the Old Mission Peninsula Saturday…or grab the sleds for a couple runs down the hill in Harbor Springs! Then Saturday night, take a torch-lit snowshoe trek at Camp Daggett!
 
Bigs Social, Thursday, Jan 26th, 5:30-7:30, Tap 30 in Petoskey
In celebration of National Mentoring Month, join Big Brothers and Sisters for a Bigs Social  to socialize and learn about becoming a mentor. First round of drinks and light appetizers are on them.
 
Candle Lit Hike at Mt McSauba in Charlevoix, Fridays thru February 24th, 6pm
Enjoy a mile-long, candle-lit hike through the trails of Mt. McSauba. The looped trail changes weekly but will always start just west of the ski lodge. Hikers are welcome to use snowshoes or cross-country skis if conditions permit.
 
Michigan Ice Wine Harvest Festival, Saturday, January 28th, 11am-5pm, Chateau Chantal
Enjoy snowman building, ice sculptures, outdoor fire pits with roasted treats, a walking trail open for snowshoeing or skiing, samples of multiple ice wines, & more. Get details at chateauchantal.com
 
Sledding and S’mores, Saturday, January 28th, 12-3pm, Kiwanis Park in Harbor Springs
Bring the kids to Kiwanis Park for  Sledding and S’mores. Enjoy food, hot cocoa, games, and the Harbor Springs Fire Department will be towing families up in the rescue sled. All events are free and organized by the City of Harbor Springs.
 
Bearcub Outfitters Torchlight Snowshoe, Saturday, January 28th, 5-9pm, Camp Daggett, Petoskey
Trek across snow-covered trails illuminated by more than 100 torches. Afterwards, enjoy cocoa, cookies, & roaring fires. Admission is free, but donations  are encouraged to support Camp Daggett.
