Is it really less than 2 weeks to Christmas?!?

Time is running out….but there are a couple of special events planned this week to help out harried holiday shoppers…and even procrastinating Christmas Cookie bakers! There’s a fun event for train lovers of all ages, and a chance to restock your wine rack before the New Year!

Grab your girlfriends and head to downtown Elk Rapids this Thursday night from 5-8pm…enjoy refreshments, great deals, pampering, contests and lots more fun!
Don’t worry, the guys have their night  too…Men’s Shopping Night in Downtown Traverse City is also this Thursday from 5-9Hang out with your best buds, while shopping and supporting downtown TC businesses! Stores will be offering special discounts, refreshments, entertainment and more!

If you just can’t seem to find time for holiday baking, you can still serve up some delicious goodies this holiday season…Head to the Holiday Cooke Walk at Grace Episcopal Church in Traverse City this Saturday from 8am to Noon. You’ll find not only cookies, but other delicious homemade baked goods. Come early…the sale runs from 8am until all the treats are sold out. Or noon-which never happens!

This Saturday kicks off a Northern Michigan Christmas Tradition-The Northern Michigan Railroad Club Festival of Trains attracts over 6,000 visitors each year and runs from December 16th through the 31st at Creekside Community Church Hall. Hours are 10am-6pm on Mon. through Sat., & 1-4pm on Sun. A swap meet will be held on Dec. 16-17.

And, if you need to stock up for all those holiday toasts, head to Shady Lane Cellars in Suttons Bay this Saturday from 2-5pm for their “Wine Wonderland”! Enjoy live holiday music, art projects and donate to Toys for Tots. Bring an unwrapped gift & receive a free wine tasting!
