Winter fun… snow, chili and euchre.

fun-5-winter

We have snow! And that means outdoor fun this weekend. The forecast is warmer next week so this weekend could be one of the best weekends of winter for snowshoeing and more.

This is such a fun event! Bearcub Outfitter’s Torchlight Snowshoe at Camp Daggett on Saturday,  January 27 from  5-9am. This highly anticipated event gives our community the opportunity to enjoy Camp Daggett in a peaceful, torchlit winter setting. Enjoy the serene ambiance of trekking across snow-covered trails illuminated by more than 100 torches. Make sure you dress warmly and get ready to have fun! Don’t own snowshoes? Bearcub Outfitters will have plenty available for community members of all ages to borrow. After your torchlit snowshoe, enjoy cocoa, cookies, and roaring fires! They will be selling raffle tickets for GREAT prizes – all proceeds and donations directly support Camp Daggett.

Still have some boxes from Christmas laying around? Then start working on your sled for the Cardboard Sled Race, Sunday,  January 28,3pm at Petoskey Winter Sports Park. One person per sled. Sleds must be crafted out of only cardboard & tape. The winner will be determined by the fastest time down the hill. Winner gets cash prize. Enter today at: 901293@northmen.org

Be the star of your next party with a charcuterie board that will  make your guests love you. Their catering Sous Chef, Leah Moerdyk, will demonstrate how to put together the perfect board with plenty of fun tips and tricks so you can bring a showstopping board to your next party. The instruction will be lively, informative, and entertaining for all. Each attendee will leave with a lovely charcuterie board big enough to share with one or two friends, filled with gourmet cheeses, cured meat, nuts, crackers, fruits, veggies, and more.
