Camping, Movies and Easter Fun

This is a weekend full of fun for you and the kids! Movies, a play and the RV Show will help get you thinking about spring. Even though the weather is not feeling it. And Easter is on the horizon, so you’ll find Easter Egg Hunts for all ages, kids who need a little extra care and the dogs too!

If you have camping on your mind, the Northwest RV and Camping Show is going on Friday thru Sunday from 11am-8pm at the Grand Traverse Civic Center. More than 40 units will be displayed, including folding camping trailers, travel trailers and, fifth-wheel travel trailers.

 

If you’re looking for some great theater, the Old Town Playhouse has a show this weekend. OTP’s Aged to Perfection senior reader’s theatre presents Is Murder Tax Deductible? In the offices of Dett and Merring, Accountants, murder is afoot. One partner plays out the ruse along with the office secretary, until Detective Bartholomew sees through the obfuscation. All is not what it seems nor who they seem in this lighthearted murder mystery in the cozy tradition. Catch the show Friday or Saturday evening, 7:30pm. This is a free presentation.

 

Free Spring Break Movies at the State Theater. All week, there are movies for everyone in the family, starting with kids movies at 10am and then other great films throughout the day. Tickets are free. See the entire schedule at here.

 

Easter Fun

Downtown Gaylord is hosting the Easter Bunny on Saturday. Bring the kids to Gaylord’s Easter Egg Hop, Saturday starting at 11:30 in downtown Gaylord. Meet the Easter Bunny, get candy, toys, prizes, and MORE!!!

Alanson has an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, 10am at the Alanson School. All Children, up to 12 years old are Welcome! And Special needs Children of all ages too. Please bring bag or basket for eggs and prizes. The hunt will start with the youngest first, so please try to arrive early. Hosted by North Country Sportsman’s Club.

And don’t forget the dogs! The Dog Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday from 4-6pm at Grand Traverse Commons. This canine Easter Egg Hunt will feature different treats and prizes. There will also be a cupcake station, jar-cuterie, and photobooth indoors. The event is free, outdoors and they are asking no retractable leashes. If it is raining, they will move the event indoors.
