It’s that time of year…. Between winter sports season and spring outdoor fun. So you have to look a little harder this weekend, but there is still lots to do!
Kick off your weekend in Charlevoix with First Friday, Friday evening from 4-8pm in downtown Charlevoix. There is a caramel themed cocktail trail, scavenger hunt and a chance to win $99 in Downtown Dollars. The Cantina is the base for this month’s event.
If you have kids that love animals, the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society’s Slumber-Pawty is this weekend and it is so fun. Here is the updated schedule of events for the weekend:

The Slumber Pawty is free to attend! Classes (dog yoga, kids bead art, kids yoga) are limited to 30 individuals, are first come/first serve, and are a suggested $5 donation.

In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease Young women worked in factories and used radium paint to make watches and clocks glow in the dark. But they never knew the dangers. So they would use it as make up or hold the paint brush between their teeth, subjecting themselves to lethal exposure.
