1000x563-test

It’s a weekend full of fun for you and the kids. From music to learning to cook, making maple syrup to connecting with other women, there are fun things to do all over Northern Michigan.

If you have kids that you would like to instill a love of music, the Little Waves program is just what you’re looking for. Stop by the Petoskey District Library and Charlevoix Public Library for “Little Waves,” a young children’s music program happening on Saturday. It’s free and open to all,  sponsored by the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO). The program is designed to introduce young children (ages 4 – 10) and their families to music in an entertaining setting. Each drop-in event takes place at 10:30 am in Petoskey and 1 pm in Charlevoix. The theme for this year is “Musical Adventures.” Each session features a multimedia story, an opportunity to hear one or more GLCO musicians demonstrate and explain how their instruments work, and fun music-related activities for kids. For more information, contact the library, GLCO 231-487-0010, or visit www.glcorchestra.org/education/little-waves/.
