Lilacs, wine, dogs and boats. So much to do this weekend!

It’s Father’s Day and there are so many fun events that dad and the whole family will enjoy. From wine and dogs to a free concert and boats, you’ll find lots to entertain you this weekend!

Dogs, wine and a beautiful setting…stop by Black Star Farms in Suttons Bay and enjoy them all. Saturday, from 4-8 is Pours for Pups to benefit the Cherryland Humane Society. Enjoy wines by the glass, signature cocktails, and gourmet hotdogs while supporting an incredible organization. We will also have custom-label wines, Dog House Red and Dog House White, and dog bandanas available for purchase. A portion of all sales during the event will be donated to Cherryland Humane Society.

It’s craft fair season and this weekend, enjoy a great one at the Grand Traverse Civic Center. A Father’s Day weekend. two-day art and fine craft show. Artists, makers, and creative souls will bring creativity to downtown Traverse City on Father’s Day weekend. Free admission, 10-5pm. Saturday and Sunday.

The summer season at Bay View is here and it starts with a free concert. On Sunday, June 16, join the Bay View Association for their first concert of the season for free. “Free for All” is a collection which, like its name, invites anyone who wishes to join in the celebration of music in the historic community this summer. A variety of pieces will be performed, many centered around a joyous welcome to summer. The show is at 8pm at John Hall Auditorium, no tickets required.

If you’re looking for a boat or just want to dream, check out the In Water Boat Show at Bay Harbor. The show is Friday through Sunday,  June 14-16. Come see the latest and greatest boat models. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or new to the boating world, there’s something for everyone.

And on Mackinac Island, the Lilac Festival has one more weekend. With over 250 varieties of lilac, you’ll be amazed at the beauty. Many restaurants are featuring special menus, there are tours of the beautiful island gardens and the festival wraps up with a parade on Sunday, 4pm.
