Hi, I’m Whiskey! I’m a friendly guy who loves a good game of fetch. You’ll always find me wagging my tail and ready for a cuddle. I’m gentle with everyone I meet and my loyalty knows no bounds. My playful nature keeps me young at heart and I’m always up for a fun adventure. I’m also a great listener, always ready to lend an ear when you’ve had a tough day. I’m sweet and cuddly, and I promise to bring joy to your life. Plus I’m smart! I know sit, down and shake! Why else should you adopt me? Well, I promise to be your best friend, your loyal companion, and the sweetest part of your day. I’m ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and a whole lot of tail wagging! I have potential with dogs and kids.

Cherryland Humane Society is a private, no kill animal shelter servicing Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties. We are an independent, 501-C, non profit organization. TC PAWS

Tansy was living as a stray with her kittens in Old Town on Union Street.  She kept her kittens alive and safe for several weeks this past summer living under an home—and was eventually trapped, along with kittens and brought into TC Paw. She is a true survivor!

In her foster home, she was cautious at first and would hiss from fear but was never aggressive. The hissing fully subsided, and now she looks for affection whenever someone is around, especially chin and butt scratches. She likes to look out the window. Tansy tolerates the toddler in her foster home well– but enjoys her space. The dog seems to make her nervous, but we think she will adjust in time. Tansy has a unique left eye.  Her pupil is misshapen and off-center. It is quite quirky and cute!  She is a beautiful, strong female kitty with quite the story.  Her kittens have been adopted and now this little lady needs to find her forever home.

TC Paw Cat Rescue was formed in the Spring of 2023 after the well-known northern Michigan rescue group AC PAW retired their rescue program for cats and dogs. Their mission is helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.

Hi guys!! I’m Anna May and I’m SO excited to meet you! I just love people! I am still learning manners and how to control my excitement so you may see me quite literally jump for joy at times, I promise it’s something I’m working on though. I just need a nice human to come along and teach me some basic etiquette. I’m still young and very eager to learn!
You may wonder why I’m a year old and don’t have much training, well, I have spent almost my whole life in shelters. I was brought to a shelter out of town at about 4 months old and that’s all I’ve ever known or been exposed to. I’m learning to go on walks now and how to walk nicely and the people here say I’m a quick learner! Unfortunately since shelter life is all I know, I can be standoffish with other dogs, mostly females. Who wouldn’t be a little reactive to a bunch of strangers yelling at you though?! I’m sure with the right human and some patience we could work through this. I haven’t experienced those little fuzzy things called cats so I’m not sure I’d want to coexist with any, but again, maybe it’s something I could learn to live with. Give me a chance and I promise to be the best girl I can be!

Hello! If you’ve always dreamed of swimming with dolphins—now’s your chance! My name is Dolly Dolphin. I’m sure that someday I’d love to learn how to swim because bath time is my favorite!!! I’m a chubby little bunny, waddling in at about 60 lbs. I’m roughly 3 years old, spayed, up to date on my vaccines, and currently going through heartworm treatment. I love everyone I meet, and if you like slow walks and enjoy smelling the flowers, we’ll be best friends!

As I’m going through heartworm treatment, I’m only available for foster, but my foster family will have first dibs on adopting me when I’m all healed up! During my treatment, I’ll need a lower activity environment (although not much really riles me up). We’ll need to keep my walks shorter and my dolphin tricks to a minimum. Basically, I need lots of love, snuggles, and a comfy place to relax.

I don’t seem to mind other dogs and cats, but of course, I’d do best with slow, controlled introductions to make sure we go together like peas and carrots. Hmm. That actually sounds like a good dinner plan—I just love food! I’m available to meet you Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. I’d love it if you brought a yummy snack with you! If you have questions about all my dolphin tricks, email my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com. or call 989-348-4117.
