Christmas is getting closer and there is another weekend full of holiday fun. From the parade in downtown Petoskey to a free movie, lights, cookies and a shoe sale…. it’s a weekend to busy to stay on the couch. See you out having some fun!
It’s a new day and a new time… but still one of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit. The Downtown Petoskey Holiday Parade is Saturday at 10am. You’ll love all the Christmas fun and make sure you keep an eye out for Mark and Diane in the Lite 96.3 Jeep!
If you’d like to do some shopping, take the kids for a free movie Saturday at the Gaylord Cinema starting at 10am. Children ages 3 to 13 will enjoy a festive morning of free, holiday entertainment! This chaperoned event is a long-standing tradition of the Rotary Club of Gaylord. Doors open at 10 AM and the Movies begin at 11 AM. Rotarians will be doling out treats and hot cocoa to guests. Parents are welcome to drop their children off for the duration of the event and then do some holiday shopping while your children are safely enjoying a special movie. Concessions will be available at theater prices. Free gift to the 1st 300 children in attendance.
Everyone loves Christmas lights and one of Up North’s best displays is going on again this weekend, it’s the Hammond and 5 Mile Road Christmas Light Show. The address is 3230 Hammond Road East in TC. To view the lights, pull onto the shoulder of the road and turn your headlights off. Turn your radio to 99.5fm and watch the Christmas lights dance to the music. Please be kind to others watching the show. If someone pulls out infront of you please pull ahead. Shows are nightly through December 28th.
Not enough time to bake? Let St. Mary School in Charlevoix do your Christmas cookie baking for you! They will be selling your classic favorites and a variety of new holiday cookies. All proceeds will help support St. Mary School. Get all your favorites on Saturday from 4:45-5:30pm or Sunday, 8:45-9:30am and 10:45-11:30am. The sale is at St. Mary Parish Center.
