Gypsy is a spirited 1-year-old mixed-breed dog with a beautiful brown and white coat and an endless joy for life. She’s a bundle of energy and playfulness, always ready for her next adventure!
Her favorite pastime? Playing with her rubber Kong toys, which she proudly carries from her kennel to the yard, ready for action. Gypsy recently had our staff laughing out loud while enthusiastically tearing into a donated “tear and reveal” toy-it’s clear she knows how to have fun!
If you’re looking for a playful, adventurous companion who will keep you smiling, Gypsy is the perfect match. Come meet her today and see if she’s the missing piece of your family!
All of our available dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and come with a 30 day free gift of training support through PetCademy. Please come into the shelter to meet with our available animals (Monday through Saturday 10 am – 5pm). If you are interested in placing a short-term hold on a specific animal, please call us at 231-347-2396.

Four years old, but can have puppy energy when very excited and happy! Delaney would benefit from continuing her training with jumping and being mouthy – but she loves to learn and promises to make it fun for you both. Don’t worry, Cherryland offers complimentary training for all adopters!
Delaney has potential with other dogs and kids 12+, please visit our website to submit an application! She cannot wait to show you her happy feet dance in person. Her toes cannot tippy tap fast enough!

She is getting more playful and loving each day. Evie will do better with older kids. Little ones’ quick movements will scare her. She is bonded with her sister Bunny, and we want them adopted together. Check Bunny’s page and consider welcoming these sweet girls into your home together. Both kitites need a human who understands how to properly transition cats into a new home, is patient and willing to give attention and one on one time with both little ones.
Apply to adopt Bunny and Evie: https://tcpaw1.wufoo.com/forms/preadoption-application/
TC Paw Cat Rescue was formed in the Spring of 2023 after the well-known northern Michigan rescue group AC PAW retired their rescue program for cats and dogs. Their mission is helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.

This pretty lady is Peach. Peach is a redbone/coonhound puppy. She loves to play with toys, and she likes play-fighting with her sister, Daisy. She’s a little hyper, being a puppy, and we’re not sure how she’d do with cats. Peach loves every person she meets, and would likely do well with older children, probably 12 or older. She’s not potty-trained, and tends to pee a lot out of excitement. If you’re interested in this sweet girl, fill out an application online or in person!

Hello there! My name is Sage, and just like the plant, I will cleanse all the negative energy from your home. I am a 3.5-year-old, medium mixed-breed dog. I am spayed and weigh roughly 45 lbs.
Here are some things you should know about me: I love squeak toys, treats, and pets! I love giving kisses and wiggling my butt! I know a few things, like sit and shake — I’m also very well potty trained! The shelter team is working with me on my leash walking as they say I have some opportunities.
I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only. I’d be happy living with a family. I did a slumber party at a foster home, and they said I did well with kids of all ages. I’d make a great riding buddy in the car, sitting on the couch, going for a hike — any of those things would be the best for my forever home and family.
If you want to see how fast my butt wiggles, please stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Questions? Email AVASCares2@gmail.com or call 989-348-4117. See you soon!
