Snowshoe the vineyards or catch a sleighride through BayView.

This is a great weekend Up North. There is literally something for everyone. If you like to get out and enjoy winter, there are snowshoes and horse drawn sleigh rides. Throw in AlpenFrost and it’s a winter wonderland! Enjoy the snow.
Snowshoe Wine and Vine
This weekend, and every weekend through the end of the month, you can snowshoe the trails at Black Star Farms. Easy trails through the woods and vineyards are a great way to get out of the house. Festival of Foods
Hagerty Center on Saturday, February 4th. 10-3
You’ll love this day of demonstrations and food discover at Hagerty Center, overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. Area chefs and specialty food businesses will be dishing up cooking tips and techniques, while you enjoy tasty samples. Each hour highlights four workshops—you select your favorite 4 of the 16 options.

Groundhog Shadow Fest, Feb 4th, Charlevoix
Will there be six more weeks of winter or an early spring? Only the groundhog knows for sure! Enjoy the Groundhog Shadow Fest in Charlevoix, Saturday, February 4th.
The Opening Ceremony is at 10:30 at the Weathervane restaurant. There are free movies at the Charlevoix Cinema III, kids games, a chili cook-off, disc golf putting contest, beer tent, adult games and live entertainment from the Galactic Sherpas.  So show your shadow in Charlevoix, Saturday, February 4th at the Groundhog Shadow Fest!

Family fun awaits in Gaylord including Friday night beer tent, horse draw sleigh rides, downtown Frosty plunge, warming tent with fire, world’s largest hot chocolate break, soup cook off, ice skating, cardboard sled race, carnival rides, Frosty 5K, cupcake wars, dog sled rides and Frozen characters. Sleigh Rides in Bayview
Winter Delights await at Terrace Inn! Adults $12 and Children 12 and under $6. Rides begin at 5:30 p.m. and are scheduled on the half hour until 7:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, please call to confirm whether sleigh will be running. Sleigh is a 14-person sleigh pulled by 2 Belgian Percheron horses. Guests are welcome to bring carrots or apples for the horses, if they’d like. Lap blankets are available. Ride takes you through scenic Bay View and begins and ends at Terrace Inn. Hot cocoa, hot cider, coffee and tea are complimentary. For more information and to make reservations call 231-347-2410.
